About the Program

NDICA (National Diversity & Inclusion Cannabis Alliance) has partnered with humble+fume and Windship Trading on providing a mentorship program for BIPOC entrepreneurs to gain knowledge, insight, and experience within the cannabis industry. The new mentorship program strives to break down ethical and equitable barriers impacting BIPOC communities.

Semi-Finalist Announcement

Thank you to all Candidates that submitted a Mentorship Application. There were many amazing brand submissions that made this a difficult choice. After careful and discerning review, the Committee has selected the semi-finalists and will be contacting them directly with the next steps of the Mentorship Applicant Program.  We wish everyone the best of luck in their endeavors.

Black Cannabis Magazine is a print and digital media company in Los Angeles dedicated to highlighting BIPOC entrepreneurship, allyship, and community. BCM aims to generate a long-term pathway for success and equity for people of color in the cannabis industry while destroying the culture’s negative stigma.

Black Cannabis Magazine is the first quarterly print and digital publication by and for people of color in cannabis. The magazine was founded by L.A.-based Steven Palmer, a.k.a. “Hazey Taughtme,” the entrepreneur, D.J., and media personality best known for creating the popular internet radio station Haze. Taughtme co-founded and co-owns cannabis brand, “Laze,” with his business partner “Just Mary.”

NDICA is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to create an ethical and equitable cannabis industry to reduce barriers contributing to the lack of representation of those most impacted by the War on Drugs, including people of color and other marginalized community members. Local Chapter locations include Los Angeles, Fresno, Chicago, Oklahoma City, and Columbus. NDICA offers several essential programs, including Community Outreach, Education, Internships, Social Equity Programs, Vocational Training, and Youth Empowerment and Educational Programs.
