Unveiling “Gloves Up Guns Down,” Our Latest Youth Boxing Camp

NDICA’s Expanding Footprint: Introducing “Gloves Up Guns Down,” Our Newest Youth Boxing Camp
Renowned for our initiatives in violence prevention and community betterment, the National Diversity and Inclusion Cannabis Alliance (NDICA) is proud to partner with Easy Money Fitness Club in launching “Gloves Up Guns Down.” This youth boxing camp is the latest feather in NDICA’s diverse cap of community outreach programs.
Building on a Strong Foundation: NDICA’s Community Commitment
NDICA’s expertise in violence prevention programs has won us several grants, enabling us to collaborate with community organizations on projects like Midnight Hoops, The Yolo Program, and Peace Circles. “Gloves Up Guns Down” is our latest endeavor that echoes this commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of marginalized communities.
The Genesis of “Gloves Up Guns Down”
Aimed at children aged 6-15, the camp runs from October 2 to November 24, Mondays through Fridays, from 6-8 PM. With a curriculum that combines boxing techniques and life skills, it provides a holistic development platform.
A Community Endeavor: Collaboration and Funding
This boxing camp is part of the Jobs Create Peace Project and is funded through generous grants from Cook County, the Juvenile Accountability Court (JAC), the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), and the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
More Than Physical Training
The camp goes beyond the ring, fostering lifetime mentorship, nurturing leadership skills, instilling respect, and promoting weight loss and sportsmanship.
