Greetings,

Breast Cancer Awareness Month may have ended, but our commitment to social justice and social equity in the cannabis space continues. We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and strive to make a positive impact. Here’s a recap of our October events:

Expungement Clinic and Day of Hiring in Matteson

On Thursday, October 6th, we hosted an expungement clinic and day of hiring in Matteson. The event was a success, and we’re proud to have helped those in our community seeking employment opportunities.

Black Farmers and Urban Gardeners Conference in Atlanta

Our Executive Director Bonita Money and Board Member Freeway Rick Ross spoke at the Black Farmers and Urban Gardeners Conference in Atlanta on October 15th. Their topic was Black Farmers in Cannabis and Social Equity, and their insights were well-received.

Fall Fest 4.0 Breast Cancer Edition

On October 16th, we hosted the Fall Fest 4.0 Breast Cancer Edition in Chicago. It was a safe space community pop-up where attendees could enjoy music, food, and learn about resources available to them.

ICTC’s 1 Year Anniversary of Cannabis Networking Celebration

We celebrated ICTC’s one-year anniversary of cannabis networking on October 20th. The event was a success, and we enjoyed celebrating with members of the community.

Legends Chicken & Fish and Justice 4 Nick Safe Space Halloween Event

We partnered with Legends Chicken & Fish and Justice 4 Nick to host a safe space Halloween event for youth aged 3-14 on October 31st. We’re proud to have provided a safe and fun environment for the youth in our community.

We’re thankful for the success of our October events and for the continued support of our community. As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to wish everyone an early happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for your ongoing support.
