NDICA Newsletter January 2023
Dear NDICA Members and Supporters,
As we begin the new year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the successes of December and the opportunities that lie ahead.
At NDICA, we remain committed to our mission of advancing workforce development, violence prevention programs, and expungement and record sealing. Here are some highlights from December:
PVJOBS Future Entrepreneurs Conference: On December 15th, we had the privilege of attending the Future Entrepreneurs Conference at West Los Angeles College, hosted by PVJOBS.
The conference provided inner-city youth with exposure to successful entrepreneurs and valuable guidance to help them start their own businesses. It was an inspiring event, and we were grateful to be a part of it.
“Our Warm Embrace” Toy Drive & Coat Giveaway: On December 17th, we partnered with Graduates Over Guns to host a Toy Drive & Coat Giveaway at Julian High School. It was a heartwarming event, and we were proud to be able to provide warmth and joy to the children in our community during the holiday season.
Holiday Record Expungement & Resource Fair: On December 21st, we partnered with UCan and Impact Social Services to host a Holiday Record Expungement & Resource Fair at Metro Family Services. It was an informative event that provided attendees with the resources they need to clear their records and access better employment opportunities.
NYC’s First Cannabis Dispensary: In other news, New York City opened its first cannabis dispensary in December. This is an exciting development for the cannabis industry, and we look forward to seeing how it progresses.
Upcoming Expungement Event: Finally, we wanted to remind you of our upcoming expungement event on January 25, 2023. This event will provide attendees with the opportunity to clear their records and access better employment opportunities. We hope to see you there.
As always, we remain committed to advancing the cannabis industry and empowering the communities we serve. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to working with you in the year ahead.
