NDICA & Bridging the Gap Globally Team Up On Midnight Hoops

CHICAGO, IL, July 26, 2023 — The National Diversity and Inclusion Cannabis Alliance (NDICA), Bridging the Gap Globally, the Illinois Department of Human Services, and Cook County are thrilled to announce the launch of Midnight Hoops. This distinctive community initiative aims to promote violence prevention and create a safe, inclusive space for community members.

The brainchild of Kenny Doss II, founder of Bridging the Gap Globally and a long-time advocate for community upliftment, Midnight Hoops is more than just a basketball tournament. This inspiring event represents a commitment to unity, sportsmanship, and peaceful coexistence.

Starting July 29, 2023, from 7 pm to 11 pm at Ogden Park, Chicago, the five-week tournament invites eight spirited local teams to the court. Beyond friendly competition, Midnight Hoops serves as a platform to broadcast a crucial message of violence prevention and community solidarity.

Besides the intense on-court action at 6500 South Racine, Ogden Park will buzz with an array of family-friendly activities. Expect free food, a bouncy house, and live music from DJ Will The Thrill to create a joyful atmosphere.

The grand finale on August 26th, 2023 promises a thrilling championship game, a 3-point shooting contest, and a dunk contest. These activities serve to nurture local talent, fostering camaraderie and community pride.

We warmly invite everyone to join us on July 29th at Ogden Park. Come support your teams, celebrate our community, and stand united against violence. Let’s make this more than a game – let’s make it a movement for change.
